One of my favorite places to go. Great Art on the walls. Really high quality food...and Kombucha on tap! I've gone there several times for business meetings and it's a great environment all around
Perfection in a weekday and a macarone and mint tea. Simple and awesome. Smart cafe with excellent barista. Order the mocha and leave the lid off. Try the berry smoothie and avocado toast. Haven’t had a real dinner in a while? Treat yo self!! Their dinner is refined and full service. Expect to be happily surprised.
No secret to those who know me, I think this the best spot in SW. My coffee is prepared perfectly every time, the menu is on point, and above all the Employees make this place everything it is. Closest, coolest cafe, with a great Portland-meets-Old World ambience and nice local community of regulars. Cute dogs too. Five Stars
Wow! I couldn't love this restaurant any more! The atmosphere is sophisticated and yet familiar, cozy and inviting! The outdoor deck seating in an early Fall evening was glorious! Simple ingredients prepared to perfection! Such a culinary delight! I am gluten free and had one of the best meals I've ever had! The staff were kind, professional and attentive.
Jola cafe has happy hour and evening dinner now Tues-Sunday and the offerings are high quality with a selected chef/cook who makes authentic food that rivals the menu's I've had at the downtown concerthall/museum blocks and at a much better value. what a ge! Jola owner's have a winery dinner business and so they offer a vetted wine list and there is a wonderful bartender who mixes cocktails and mocktails. having lived and travelled in european countries I really appreciate the owner and manager's Euro-American decision to test out an evening menu. happy hour drinks are discounted and the feel is casual Euro neighborhood cafe. These folks constantly seek to tweak and experiment to keep customers and their own standards are high.
These guys have a fine business. Prices are comparable to other coffee shops. Food comes with various options from healthy, savory, sweet, and local ingredients. There is a lot of indoor and outside space, the customer service is so good, music can vary in volume, and there are a standard amount of outlets. My only complaint is that their WiFi can be spotty. So, if you’re coming to do work, then check the WiFi before committing to doing work there. It may be better to move somewhere that has WiFi that is functional.
Stopped in today to work for a bit while my kiddo was busy doing something. Really nice place, the burrito was delicious with bunch of different hot sauce options. Way bigger inside than was expecting so was able to find place to sit no problem. Only reason not 5 star is the WiFi wasn't working making it a bit harder to get some work done.
